The Birthday Party's over...          October 26 and 27 2022

the last cake crumbs brushed away, the last poetry booklet given to visitors, the last leaf coloured in by the children and pinned to the tree pinned to the Council Office railings.  That was our celebration of five years of Brandon Library Poets.  The children’s day went well and we had plenty of young visitors taking part in the activities, and small but appreciative audiences for the readings, coffee and cake on the second day.    Some of the exhibition boards of poetry and photographs will have another outing on November 20th in Brandon Country Park when the planting of a Wildwood Mix to provide a bio-diverse understorey will be happening.

Back to normal life for the monthly Monday mornings, although December will see the launch of People and Places our annual Christmas pamphlet.  Poems written to the theme are produced during the year.  The final page in this pamphlet is a timeline, which is a record of all BLP’s doings since 2017.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRANDON LIBRARY POETS!

This Autumn Brandon Library Poets celebrate their 5th birthday with 3 days of events in Brandon Council Offices on the Market Square.

In 2016 Brandon Creative Forum with the support of cppMarketplace backed by Arts Council funding put on an event FERRY TALES  a day of art, music, poetry, storytelling , history, theatre and fun telling the story of Brandon, and its significance as the lowest crossing point of Little Ouse river.  The five roads which met at that point led in time to the growth  of Brandon as a town.

Brandon Library Poets held its first meeting shortly after the 2017 Fire and Flint Festival which added thrilling circus skills and a spectacular light show to community events hosted by local arts groups.

COMING            SOON!!

Brandon  Library Poets’

5th  Birthday

Be there……
